Airfredia Houston of Little Rock, Ark., received her wings on February 5, 2025. She was born on February 25,1946 in Wilmot Ark., to the late Eli Whitaker Sr and Willie Lee McPherson- Irvin.
She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and godmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elder Willie Lee Houston Jr, one son, Kevin Lee Houston, and one step-daughter, Michelle Houston-Hamilton of Sacramento, Calif. She was a faithful Christian and long-time member at Waters Temple Church COGIC.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Waters Temple Church COGIC, 7414 Lancaster Rd. Little Rock, Ark. 72209.
Mrs Houston was a Godsend to my life. She and her husband took care of my daughter Kiara until she started school. She always made sure I had food and diapers and never changed my feed as a single mother. She welcomed me into her family and we spent many Christmas and Thanksgiving at her home. To Herman and the family my prayers are with you. You had a gem.
Mother Houston was a wonderful woman and she took wonderful care of my sons in her daycare. I lost contact with her after Mr. Houston passed. I’m glad they are together again. They showed young people the true meaning of love! ❤️
