BETTY J. DELONEY SHEAD 88, of Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
She was a member of Bullock Temple CME Church.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023, 11 a.m. at Bullock Temple, 1513 S. Park Street in Little Rock. Family Hour will precede the service at 10 a.m., also at Bullock Temple.
To the Shead Family:
We take this time to express our personal condolences to the family of Betty Shead. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family, and friends of the family during this hour of great sadness. May all grieving hearts please continue to draw comfort from this promise from God where He tells us about the resurrection blessing that is near at hand. This comforting promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. In the text, God tells us that He would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. Yes, from this one promise, God is giving us His personal guarantee that the restoring of life for billions of people earth wide would surely take place. This restoring of life is possible because God is the source of life for all living things. (Psalm 36:9) Our Creator want everyone to have strong faith in this promised blessing, so He has taken the time to preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the future resurrection blessing. Here is just one of many examples that will help all develop strong faith in this future blessing from God. The account is recorded at Acts 9:36-42.
I hope that all will get a chance to see how this account applies to Betty, and a great host of others in a very special way. So, in closing we encourage all to please keep promise of God near your hearts at all times. May you remember that God has given us His promise that the restoring of life would certainly take place. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
