Daisy Dean Tims – 1956-2021

Daisy Dean Tims of Solon, Ohio, transitioned to paradise on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lonnie Sue Dean; her beloved son, Enoch Tims, III; her husband, the love of her life, Enoch Tims Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Darrell Tims
and Joel Williams.

Surviving Daisy is her devoted daughter, Whitney P. Horton (LaKeon); and her grandchildren, AhJamari, Jayson, and Zoë; her cherished sisters, Beverly Thomas (Billy); Peggy Williams; Floy Etta Scott (Kenneth); Pam Tims; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and sorority sisters. Daisy will also be remembered by the many students whose lives were touched by her.

Walk-through visitation will be held August 27, 2021, from 12-6 p.m.at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, AR 72202. The Delta Sigma Theta Omega-Omega Service will be held Saturday, August 28, at 10 a.m. followed by a Homegoing Service at 11 a.m., at Greater Second Baptist Church, 5616 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock, AR 72209. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.

We had a long journey together, from junior high, high school, college and work at SWBT. I am one of many who loved her for the kind and loving person she was. I pray you all take solace in the memories you have. May God’s favor bless you now and always.

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of Daisy Tims, my beloved Soror. I have such fond memories of Daisy and her mother, my first Principal at Stephens Incentive School. Please know that I will keep the Tims family in my thoughts and prayers.
