  • Darrell, I want to say I am deeply saddened to hear of your passing. It was far too soon. I enjoyed our team work and friendship while working at Camp Fuji for so many years. You me and Hiro san. we all basically ran the entire Camp haha. You are one of a kind and will be forever in my memory. I know you loved Corvettes so I hope to get one again someday in your honor my brother. I know you were going to come visit me here in Utah this year and that’s the hardest thing for me to deal with. I remember the chats we used to have about what a great mother you have and how much you love her and your siblings. My heart and prayers goes out to all of them. Your parents raised a fine young man and supported a great Marine. Semper Fi Darrell and hold me a spot in heaven and I hope they allow Corvettes there! We are gonna race for sure! Love you man and Semper Fi…

  • My condolences. I met Darrell in Urago Ordinance compound in Yokosuka Japan when he was a Gunny in 2000. We hung out a lot and you were there for me when I met and married my wife. You also supported me and saw me bring 2 kids in this world. I remember you had the blue TL1000R and I had the yellow one. We did some riding and I always said you customized that bike up good. After your marine career was over we would continue to be in each other’s lives until you returned to states after being in Japan just as long as I did. You also no my wife felt like you understood her better than me lol. The last time I spoke to you was on the 2nd of September when you called to wish me a happy birthday. On that day you talked to me how much you loved your mom and that you bought a new car that you planned to surprise her with. I and my are shocked and sad but I know you are in better place. Rest in peace my brother.
