Evelyn Juanita Pascal Walker, 85, of Marianna, Ark., transitioned on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Mourning her loss is her daughter, Schryl Reenee Walker. She grew up with a reverence for her Lord and remained active in St. Luke A.M.E. Church, so much so that she was presented a plaque for her work and devotion.
She earned a B.S. in elementary education from and taught at Anna Strong Elementary School. Later completed coursework for Secondary Library Science and remained as a librarian until her retirement. She was a member of the National Education Association and the Arkansas Education Association.
Funeral service will be at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2020, at 11 a.m. Masks are required and social spacing is observed. Walk-though visitation will be at Ruffin & Jarrett at 10-11 a.m., on Monday, before the service.

Soror Schryr Walker, Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your dear mother Mrs. Walker. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. I have many memories of Mrs. Walker as a student, she was such a sweet , kind teacher , and she was loved in our community. She loved her St. Luke church family. Her parents lived down the street from my mother Mrs. Savannah Mullins on Texas now Martin Luther King Drive in Marianna, Arkansas.
