James C. Goodwin departed this life on Tuesday March 23, 2021, just two days after his 95th birthday. He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife Mary (Burnell) Goodwin; two sons, Danny K. Goodwin of Atlanta Georgia and granddaughter Joya Tyler of Flossmoor, Ill.; Phillip L. Goodwin and twin grandsons James C Goodwin and Elijah L Goodwin of Dallas, Texas; twin granddaughters NaTasha (Goodwin) Roberson and husband Allen Roberson; and great-grandsons Dylan, Mason, and Ayden Roberson of Houston, Texas, NaTesha (Goodwin) Gipson and husband, Dalton Gipson, of Houston, Texas; his 101-year-old sister, Jimmie Mae Hankins of Detroit, Mich.; brother, Charles Earl Goodwin of Camden, Ark.; stepdaughter, Vicki L. Johnson of Mesquite, Texas; stepson, Carter M. Johnson of San Jose, Calif.; and a step-granddaughter, Khali Patrice Johnson of San Jose, Calif.; and host of relatives throughout the United States.
