LaRue Young, 91, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was affectionately called “Sister” by so many in the family. LaRue was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. N. Young Sr. She was the absolute center of her family. She made sure she kept in contact with every family member, as often as she could. She unconditionally loved all of her family!
She leaves to cherish precious memories; her children, Kenneth (Faye) Thompson of Dallas, Texas, Joe Young of North Little Rock, Ark., and Melody Nation of Little Rock, Ark., and F. “Cookie” Burks of Warren, Ark.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 18 from 12 to 4 p.m., at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester, Little Rock, Ark., 501-372-1305. Masks are required. Social spacing is observed. Celebration of her life will be held Thursday, August 19, at 11 a.m., at Rest In Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Ark.
