LaVerne Price Abernathy, 84, Little Rock, passed into her Heavenly home on June 23, 2022. She was born April 12, 1938, to James and Estella Minor Price.
She married James Abernathy, Jr. on December 3, 1956.
She is preceded in death by her son, Sedrick Leroy Abernathy; brothers, Bennie, Leatrice, and Henry; sisters, Lula, Catherine, Gertrude, Juanita, Wanda, and Maxine.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Beverly and Ashley (Latisshe) Abernathy; sisters, Ruby (Harvey) Wiley and Mary Cunningham; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Walk-through visitation July 1, 2022, 12-4:30 p.m., Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. Funeral service on July 2, 2022, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Both services require masks.
