On Wednesday, July 22nd LUELLA LEEPER-LEE received her wings and transitioned to her heavenly home.
Mrs. Luella Leeper-Lee was born on June 12, 1919 in Holy Grove, Ark., and is the only child to the late George and Roxie Leeper. She was married to the late George Edward Lee, Jr. on June 19, 1942. The couple had one child; George Edward Lee, Ill. She was a member of St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church in Little Rock, where she was an active leader and role model.
Luella Leeper-Lee is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A special trio of caretakers; Rodrick McCollum, Sr., Lisa McCollum-Smith and Elaine Stafford who spoiled her rotten. Luella Leeper-Lee will be truly missed. Special thanks to the staff of Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Luella Leeper-Lee has now “Gone the Last Mile of the Way” which was her favorite song.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2020, noon-6 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock. Face masks are required. Please follow social distancing guidelines. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at the Little Rock National Cemetery on Confederate Blvd.
