Mable Jean Thomas Rhodes, 82, of North Little Rock, Ark. made her transition on August 13, 2018 to be with the Lord. Mable was a retiree from Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
She was preceded in death by mother, Erma McQueen Lane; step-father James Lane; brother, Henry Earl “Dickey” Thomas. She was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Roby; granddaughters, Tiffany Roby and Tianna Roby; step-children, Harold (Erma) Rhodes, William Lamond (Deborah) Rhodes, Dorothy (Billy Ray Sr.) Dillard, Kathy Grind, Marilyn (John) Green, and Jeanette Taylor; daughter-in-law, Shirley Rhodes; also, host of other grand-children and great-grand-children; step-sisters, Willa Evans, Pauline Martin; step-brothers, Alton Lane, Arthur (Flora) Lane; nephews, Roderick Thomas, Richard Earl (Shirley) Thomas, Edward Thomas, Reginald Thomas; a niece; Erma Maria Thomas; sister-in-law, Lois Jean Martindale Thomas; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. She will be missed by her many friends.
Family hour on Friday, August 17th, 2018 at 6-7 p.m., and Funeral services on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at 11 a.m., both held at King Solomon Baptist Church, 1304 Pine Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Services entrusted to Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St., Little Rock (501) 372-1305. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
I worked with Mable for several years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I am so sad to know she has passed. She had the most beautiful smile and a true joy to around.
