Pauline Shipp was born in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Julia Burns and McKinley Moore on January 20, 1957. She passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at the age of 64 on the morning of Sunday, July 4, 2021.
A loving mother of two, Pauline is survived by her daughter, Christie Thompson, and is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Julius Thompson, Sr. and son, Brent Lloyd Mosley, III. She also leaves behind two brothers, James Ellison (Pamela) and Billy Ellison; two sisters, Dorothy Smith (Fred) and Vernita Greene; four grandchildren, Samantha (24), Brent IV (22), Javon (21), and Julius II (18); one great-grandchild, Skylar Alise (2); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and a bonus family in love that she gained by the friendship forged with Maria Jones. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe (Viola Frenchie) and John Earl (Betty), and her brother-in-law, Robert Lee, and sister, Juanita.
She was a member of Longley Baptist Church, as well as a devout participant of the weekly Bible Study held by her brothers and sisters and their spouses. She understood deeply that God carried her during the storms in her life, and she gave all honor and praises to Him.
Walk-through visitation Friday, July 9, 2021, 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (closed casket). Masks are required. Social spacing is observed.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10th, at Elmlawn Cemetery, 5900 West 12th Street, Little Rock.
