Robert David Wetzel, 71, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Wetzel and Edmond and Eva Laster, all of Chicago, Illinois. He leaves to cherish his memory; sons, David Wetzel, Chicago, Illinois, Rodney Wetzel, Grand Rapids, Mich.; daughters, Nicole Sheffield and Lesley Smith, Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, James Wetzel and Sterling Laster (Renetta), Chicago, Illinois, Vance Laster (Linda) Little Rock; granddaughter, Jayden Smith and a host of other grandchildren; special friend, Gwendolyn Wetzel; nephews, Evan Lovelace Laster, Antoine Chest, and Marcus Chest.

My Sincere condolences to Robert (Bob) family. We both lived in Lonoke right behind each other. He was always nice to my family. I used to make Spaghetti and he called me spaghetti lady. I moved from Arkansas in 82 we lost contact. I did get a chance to see him in 09 when I lost my daughter, he was at her wake. It was so good to see him. Still had that big smile. My prayers for his Children and family.
