Ronnie L. McBride, affectionately known as The Real Ronnie McBride, age 69, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, after battling a brief illness.

He was a gifted musician and is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn, three sons- Justin, Taron, and Christopher, and eight grandchildren. Ronnie’s influence was far-reaching, touching the lives of his beloved family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

The Texas visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith in Dallas, Texas on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.

The Arkansas visitation will be held at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home 1200 S. Chester St, Little Rock, AR 72202 on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The Committal Service will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Little Rock, AR on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Ronnie McBride, in lieu of flowers, please consider supporting V’s Heart (www.vsheart.org), a non-profit organization that the McBride family supports.

  • Ronnie, Gwen, and I served in the music ministry together at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith in Dallas, Texas. Ronnie was so committed to his music and to his wife and family. My prayers are for Gwen and their family. Much love to them. Ronnie will certainly be missed.
