Shanita Lashay Carr, 47, of Virginia Beach, Va. transitioned to her heavenly home on January 18, 2020. Surviving her is her husband, Sean Carr; children, Tristan McHenry and Ty Carr; mother, Cora Cogshell; siblings, Taronne Jarrett, Jeremy Jarrett (Amanda), Rodney Cogshell (Michelle), Clifton Cogshell Jr., Carol Proctor (Melvin) and Janice Jefferson (Fredrick). Funeral service will be held at Ruffin & Jarrett Chapel, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305, Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 1 p.m. Cemetery will be Forest Hills in Alexander, Ark. Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2020, 6-7 p.m. in the Ruffin & Jarrett Chapel.

A beautiful shining star joined our Lord’s heavens home! She was so full of life, love and friendliness. Always smiling. I’m so blessed to have known her . Although her time was short, her impression is forever! Rest in heaven Shanita.
