James A. Hudson – 1936 – 2019

James A. Hudson, Jr., 83, died in his home on April 12, 2019, in Little Rock, Ark., due to complications following lung cancer. Mr. Hudson was born February 26, 1936 in Little Rock to James and Eunice Hudson. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 30, 1953, as a fire fighter and retired April 30, 1973. He had a brief career with the Little Rock Police Department before returning to the air force base as a Civil Service Fire Inspector.

Mr. Hudson is survived by: his daughter, Lenora, and son-in-law, Edwin Hunter of Flower Mound, Texas; sister, Marion Grant; brother, John Hudson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a special friend, Shirley Wilburn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Freddie and a daughter Eunice Weekly.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2019, 1-4 p.m. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 19, 2019, at 11 a.m. Both services will be at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202. (501) 372-1305. Burial will follow the service at Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery in North Little Rock.

  • I am Jerry Rynerson, I live in Green Bay WI. I was stationed with James at Little Rock Air Force Base. It was sad to hear that James had Passed and I wanted to express my sympathy To Lenora , family and friends.
