Keenan VonRay Tolbert of Little Rock, Ark., was born December 20, 1971, to Blondell Tolbert and Odes Hampton.
Keenan was an elite athlete who excelled in track, basketball and football while making life-long friends on school courts and neighborhood playgrounds. He graduated from Montgomery Christian Academy in Clarksville, Tenn. Keenan enjoyed filling notebooks with original rap lyrics and recording music. Keenan’s sense of humor could brighten any room and his ultra-clean style could turn heads – especially his “color coordinated” Converse. He was a loving and compassionate man who spent time mentoring young people and freely giving to those in need who he treated with dignity.
Keenan was employed by Quality Drivers Logistics where he was a prompt and dedicated employee who was well-liked and respected by his co-workers. All those recently interacting with Keenan knew he had experienced a change of mind, he saw the world from an honest perspective and he embraced the truth about his entire life that had resulted in his healing and contentment with his life.
Keenan departed life on Monday, April 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother; maternal grandparents, Ermon and Rosetta Tolbert; and paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Climmie Hampton.
Those left to cherish Keenan’s memory include his father, Odes Hampton; sister, Andress Gray (Joe); brother, Odes Tolbert; nephews, Torian Tolbert, Kwantarian Tolbert, Aaron Tolbert, and Jason Gray; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202 (501) 372-1305.
