Lemuel Jennings – 1949-2024

Lemuel Calvin Jennings, the oldest son of the late Enlow Jennings and Loretta Jennings answered the Master’s call on July 4, 2024, in Washington DC.

He was born in Little Rock, Ark., on November 22, 1949. He was a member of Union AME Church in Little Rock from his childhood until he left for the Army. Lemuel graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1967 and Arkansas AM&N in 1971. He loved his hometown and made sure to visit and keep in touch with his family, friends and classmates still in the area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Curtis and James Jennings. He leaves to cherish warm memories of him: his wife, Patricia; children, Adrienne and Matthew; two grandchildren, Charles and Maliyah; brother, Brent (Juanita) Jennings; sisters-in-law, Lottie Jennings and Dorothy Brown; brothers-in-law, John, Mac, and Elmer Egeston, as well as a special cousin that was like a sister to him, Hazel Fingers, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The service will be on Tuesday, July 23 at Union Bethel AME Church 6810 Floral Park Rd, Brandywine, MD 20613. The viewing will be from 9-10:30 am EST. The service will be from 10:30 am to 12 pm EST. Services will be streamed from the church: CLICK HERE.

Burial will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery 11301 Robert S. Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623.  Funeral arrangements be done by Marshall-March Funeral Homes in Suitland, Md.
