Rev. Silas E. Redd, 85, of North Little Rock, Ark., transitioned to his heavenly home October 1, 2021. At the time of his passing, he was the pastor at Payne Chapel AME Zion Church, Little Rock, Ark. He loved his family and he loved serving God’s people. Rev. Redd is preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Willie Cathryn Redd.
Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at St. Luke Baptist Church, 8205 Highway 161, North Little Rock, Ark., at 12 p.m. Visitation, Friday, October 8, 2021, 12-4:30 p.m., Family Hour 6–7 p.m., at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home 12th and Chester, Little Rock, Ark. Masks are required. Social spacing is observed. Interment will follow the service at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
