Roy Lee Dixon, 80, of Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his home in Little Rock, Ark.. He was born on April 23, 1945 in Eudora, Arkansas to Rev. Otis and Idella Dixon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Gloria Dixon; and three brothers, Arthur, John Henry, and Dallas (Jackie) Dixon.
Roy leaves precious and lasting memories with the love of his life, his wife, Barbara Williams Dixon; daughters, Dr. Kayhla D. Williams of Mableton, Ga., and Stephanie Thomas of Minden, La.; three grandchildren, Tecarrius Ward, Shaneia Ward, and Christian Thomas of Minden, La; great-grandchildren, Jaylan Thomas, Jekenly Ward, and Jori Ward of Minden, La.; three brothers, Webster Dixon of Eudora, Ark., Roger (Emma) Dixon of Frisco, Texas, and Odis (Shirley) Dixon of Little Rock, Ark.; one stepbrother, Ellis Matthews of Lake Village, Ark.; three sisters, Bertha Rhodes and Betty Murrell of Kansas City, Mo., and Janice (Odis) Black of The Colony, Texas. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jearlene Williams of Grady, Ark.; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives who were an important part of his life.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. with Fraternal and Masonic services beginning at 4:15 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. Both services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3323 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72204. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Ark., following the funeral service.
