Allen Woods, Jr., 88, of Wilmot, Ark., passed on March 06, 2023.
He was an entrepreneur and a pillar in the community. He owned and operated Woods Recreational Center for several years. He also ran “It’s Our Time Restaurant and Lounge.”
Preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Woods and Elbert Woods; daughter, Shantell Woods; and special son, Tommy McIntosh. He is survived by his children, Angela Winn, Kenneth Winn (Christina),
Terri Jones, Madeline Brown, and Ashley Woods-White (Learrie III); and two special sons: Robert McIntosh, Jr. and DeWayne Watt; his siblings, Nettie Jean Woods, John Woods, Bette White, and David York; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation: Friday, March 17, 2023, 5:30-7:30. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, 10 a.m., both services will be at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Mr. Woods was one of my beloved heroes that I met when I came to Little Rock, AR. from Chicago,Ill. to attend Philander Smith College. He shared many words of wisdom and advice to me during my life since we befriended one another. He will truly be missed but never forgotten!!!
