EDNA MITCHEM WILSON, 93, the oldest child of the late Rawleigh Elvest and Florence Byers Mitchem died August 21, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur James Wilson Sr., son Arthur James Wilson Jr., and brothers Carl and Clayton Mitchem. She is survived by daughters Lavona, Glenda, and Keitha Wilson; sisters Lois Lane, Naomi Adams, and Teri Childress; brother Porter Mitchem, sisters-in-law Gladys Johnson and Amanda Jean Mitchem, brother-in-law Leon Adams, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Invitation only service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Allison Presbyterian Church. The service will be livestreamed on the Allison Memorial YouTube channel. Family and friends may pay respects at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bold Pilgrim Cemetery Preservation Association.
