Eugene Reynolds – 1930-2019

EUGENE REYNOLDS JR. departed from this life at his home on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Eugene, affectionately known as “Renny”, was born in Fitzhugh, Ark., on May 1,1930, to Eugene Reynolds Sr. and Edna Neal Reynolds.

Eugene was a U.S Army veteran and served honorably in the Korean War. After his discharge from the army, he attended Arkansas Baptist College, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in business administration.

Eugene was married to the love of his life Joyce Marie Reynolds, who preceded him in death, for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer and member of the ProDuffers golf organization. He was also a member of The American Legion. Eugene was a successful entrepreneur and well-known member of the business community.

He is survived by his six children: Benita Powell of Chicago, Ill., Darren Reynolds (Carol), of Stockbridge, Ga., Yolanda Parks of Little Rock, Ark., Kimberly Williams (Fred) of Maumelle, Chad Reynolds of Seattle, Wash., and Tyron Tatum (Valerie) of Little Rock, Ark.; siblings, Dorathy Williams of St. Louis, Mo., Jerry Reynolds (Becky) of Newport, Ark., and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 a.m., Saint Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W 12th, LR, Ark. 72204. Cemetery: Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery, North Little Rock. Visitation: Friday, 12-6 p.m., May 10th, Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock. (501) 372-1305.
