  • To the Dunn Family
We are sorry to hear about the passing of Lana V. Dunn. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Yes we know that all are now dealing with a heavy heart. All of us can relate to what the Dunn family is now dealing with, since there is not one person that has not lost someone in death. Now the question that we are now confronted with is, where do we turn to receive true comfort in dealing with our personal lost.? Also what hope is there for our departed love ones? Although our many family members will be there for us, we must also remember that God will also be there for us. I personal take comfort in knowing that God is the source of all tender comfort and mercy> ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) As for the second question this to is answered by God by means of a loving promise. A promise that perhaps we ourselves have considered before. Here is the promise. Let’s see how the promise applies to Lana, and to billions of others. So directing your attention to the scriptures, God tells us that He would soon call to those in the grave, and that our love ones would hear His voice, and stand up in life again. ( John 5:28-29) From this one text, God is giving us His personal guarantee that our love ones will stand up in life again. That Lana, and many others will be reunited back with their many family members and friends. Only God could make such a promise, and then to carry out such a loving promise. No He does not want us to believe on blind faith. So continuing to provide true comfort to all grieving hearts, God took the time to preserved nine accounts that speaks about this future resurrection blessing. Here is just one such account recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to read these comforting verses. After doing so, think about how the verses applied to the person who had their life restored back to them. then think about how there were those on hand, yes family members and friends who witness with their own eyes their love one standing up in life again. In the future God will do the very same thing for our love ones, or even ourselves if we should fall asleep in death. Today we know that you have a heavy heart. We know that you have lost another special person from life. But please remember that God is the source of all creative life. If He created life, then surely He can restore it. Until this arrangement takes place, why not learn all that we can about the resurrection to life. Learn what we need to do to witness with my own eyes the restoring of life to billions. So please keep this promise near your hearts at all times. Remember that we have God’s personal promise. Yes it is impossible for God to lie. ( Titus 1:2)
