Peter Gaston Faison, 97, transitioned on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He served as principal and superintendent of schools, and worked for the UA Cooperative Extension Service in farm records and tax management.
Mr. Faison became a 33rd degree Mason and Past General Conference Grand Most Worthy Joshua. He was a member of Bullock Temple C.M.E. Church and served in many capacities.
Mr. Faison was married to the former Othello Owington, who preceded him in death. His eldest son, Lawrence G. Faison, also preceded him in death. Survivors include: two sisters, Lillie Bouie of Bloomfield, MI, and Cora Dunn of Seattle, WA; three daughters, Adrianne Westbrook of Little Rock, Evelyn Johnson (James) of Woodbridge, VA and Carla Faison of Alexandria, VA; youngest son, Raymond Faison of Little Rock; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A walk-through visitation will be held at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street on Friday, May 28th beginning at 5:00-6:00 p.m. Masks required. Social spacing observed. Funeral will be at Bullock Temple C.M.E. Church, 1513 S. Park Street on Saturday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Elmlawn Cemetery
