(Ret.) Major John Aaron, Jr., 96, departed this life on October 6, 2020, in Indianapolis, Ind. He was preceded by the love of his life, wife, Helen Faye Hughley-Aaron; children, Thelma Aaron-Crumes and John Arthur Aaron. He leaves cherished memories to: children, Pia Aaron Shabazz and James Ronald Aaron (Robin); granddaughter, Candace Nicole Crumes Hyde (James); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; many relatives and friends. Visitation: Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, October 15, 2020, 11-4 p.m. Masks are required and social spacing is observed. Funeral service will be Friday, October 16, 2020, at 10:30 a.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Chapel. Interment follows at 12 noon, Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.

My condolences to the family. He and my mother, Mary Jane Gee, were first cousins. I remember him and his brother, James Aaron , visiting my mother and uncle, Merlin Gee down thru the years. I am disappointed that I wasn’t aware Cousin John had passed until afterwards. Again my condolences to the family.
