Waymon Charles Stewart Sr. was born on November 20, 1938 in Little Rock, Ark., to Arthur and Treopia Stewart. He went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2021. He was proceeded in death by both parents; his wife of 58 years, Shirley Stewart; and siblings; Arthur Stewart Jr, Treopia Lancaster, and Jimmy Stewart.
Waymon joined the Navy in 1956. After the Navy he was employed at the United States Postal Service for many years and held several positions. After his departures from the USPS he became self-employed, opened and established his business, Sac’s Wax and Tapes.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Waymon Charles (Yolanda) Stewart Jr. and Shannon Deshawn Stewart; six grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; and one brother, Earl Stewart; and a host of relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m., on June 11, 2021, at the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery, North Little Rock, Ark. Arrangements: Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark.
