Willard O. Parker, 93, of Sherwood, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 5, 1927. In life, he was a beloved husband, father, brother-in-law, and uncle. Sadly, his beloved wife, Nina Beth Dokes Parker, preceded him in death. Willard was a dedicated educator in the state of Louisiana; and, a retired Master’s Degree Classroom teacher for the Pulaski County School District in Arkansas. Willard was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War and served his country with honor and distinction.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Harold Parker and Caroline Fontenette of New Iberia, Louisiana; brothers-in-Law, Emmuriel (Lillian) Dokes, Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Edward (Ida) Dokes, and Carl (Rita) Dokes; sisters-in-Law, Dr. Marion (James) Brown and Carol Bivens; and, a host of devoted nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in the Chapel at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark., 72202. Masks are required and social spacing is observed. Burial will be at the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery on the 21st at 12 noon.
Walk-through viewing will be Monday, September 20, 12 noon to 4:30 p.m.

We regret that we are not able to share this time with each of you, but we are rejoicing that Uncle Willard has reached his final resting place.
